Centennial, Southeast Aurora, Saddle Rock, E470, Southands, Arapahoe County,  Piney Creek, etc.  is looking at anywhere between 6-10" by 3PM Sunday Afternoon.    Our blog and twitter pages will have info and the Smoky Hill Bound Forums page. CDOT Crews in Metro Area Preparations for First Snowfall in Denver, Aurora, Centennial Colorado

 

October 11, 2012 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER - Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) maintenance crews in the Denver metro area have dusted off their winter boots, gloves and snow plows in anticipation for the first significant snowfall.

While most of us may not be quite ready for snow and cold weather, CDOT crews are prepared for the winter ahead.

This year, 248 maintenance employees will continue to use a variety of equipment, snow removal products and technology to battle the winter conditions on Denver metro area highways. During snow events, CDOT crews will work 12-hour shifts, even on holidays and weekends, until the roads are clear of snow and ice.

Cherry Creek Dam Road will close 5am 6/8 - 5pm 6/10 for maintenance. Use I-225 or Parker Rd for alternate routes.
