Centennial receives Best Asphalt Pavement Award

Centennial receives “Best in Colorado” Asphalt Pavement Awards

The City of Centennial received two awards at the 19th Annual “Best in Colorado” Asphalt Pavement Awards Dinner and Program on February 27. Centennial was recognized with the City Street Resurfacing Award for the East Dry Creek Overlay Project and the Preventative Maintenance/Surface Seal Award for the South Mineral Drive, 2012 Surface Treatment Program.

The Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association (CAPA) presents the “Best in Colorado” Quality Asphalt paving Awards in acknowledgement of the quality efforts of asphalt producers, contractors and agencies/owners in the state of Colorado. This annual event is a CAPA calendar highlight which occurs in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain Asphalt Conference & Equipment Show.

“The City of Centennial is pleased to accept recognition for the Dry Creek Overlay Project and the 2012 Surface Treatment Program, says City Manager John Danielson. “The City takes pride in maintaining its street pavement in good condition, to build durable pavement for the traveling public.”

The Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association, a not-for-profit association representing approximately 200 member organizations, is composed of both producers and users, including governmental agencies, working together to design, construct and maintain high quality asphalt pavements.

Founded in 1983, CAPA is the voice of the asphalt industry of Colorado and interfaces continually with the Colorado Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, local agencies and others throughout Colorado.
